Have you ever wondered aloud (like I do sometimes) how it is that some people seem to be able to win at Life (Motocross) and some people just seem like it's their lot in life to come in last place?
Well, there's a lot of answers to this question and I'm not gonna get into all the technical aspects.
These can include what type of bike to ride, clothes to wear, sponsors to have and crew to hang with.
Everyone is gonna have their own opinion on these things and I think my own will have to be saved for a later time and blog post.
What you will find out in THIS post is the General answers to the question.
Firstly, THE MOST IMPORTANT part of succeeding in life/motocross is to Develop Your Passion for it.
It might at first seem obvious that this is a part of the process, but remember, those people who come in first place and those who come in last have this very reason as their difference. The people who come in first place tend to live/breathe/sweat their chosen passion(motocross) and those who come in last just play at it.
Second, You need to have the right kind of people surrounding you.
Think about it for a second. Who do YOU have as your friends/crew? Are these people just as passionate about Motocross (or whatever) as you are? Are these people the kind who would post your bail after a night of drunken revelry where you were caught nude, wearing a horse head mask and dancing the Macarena down the street while a parade was happening? (Asking for a friend)
We all need people like that in our lives. (the ones who post bail)
Third, get the Right Outfit for the job. It is indeed important to get the right outfit for whatever your chosen passion is (motocross) so make sure that you get the properly fit one for your situation. Headgear, armor, clothes, colors, pants and boots are as varied as the grains of sand in the Sahara. The best I can hope to do is suggest that you find the outfit that best fits your personality. As far as what is best, well, a good recommendation is to not skimp on the cost. Value and cost aren't Always equivalent but the cost of something is Usually a good indicator of it's value. You can also check with others who typically win at life/motocross and see what they suggest.
Fourth, and probably the most obvious, is get the right kind of vehicle for your ride to the finish line.
There are quite a few different Motorcycles and Dirt Bikes out there and different people will give you different opinions about which one is the best. The best course of action is to try out a few and see which one you like best. You are officially invited to come into the store and try out the ones we have here! We carry Apollo and Thumpstar, and while they may not have the weight of a Honda, Suzuki or Yamaha, they are a heck of a lot of fun to ride. If you ask nicely (and bat your eyelashes fetchingly) we might let you take one for a spin in our parking lot.
Of course, we are always happy to make suggestions and recommend upgrades to whatever you do end up choosing.
Lastly and most importantly, spend your time wisely. We all only have a limited amount of time on this planet and the exact same amount of time per day. Use your time wisely.
With the advent of Smart Phones, our time seems to escape us far quicker than ever before. It's so easy to get lost in a game of Candy Crush or Angry Birds when we should be doing something productive that drives us forward in life. (I may or may not be speaking from personal experience)
So in conclusion, if you really want to succeed in your chosen Passion, get your Crew together, get your Gear together, get your Ride gassed up and invest your Time wisely and before you know it, the Winners Circle will be featuring a brand new (and familiar) Face!
See ya soon!
